Resume
CSULA has a writing center and career center that assists students with brainstorming, formatting, spelling, and grammatical checks for their personal statements and/or resumes.
Letters of Recommendation
A majority of graduate schools recommend your letters to be written by professors in the COMD/SLP field. Throughout your undergraduate or post-bacc education, get to know your professors! Typically recommenders include their relationship capacity with the student, the student’s strengths, how the student performed in their class/job/volunteer position etc. as related to the graduate school program. *If your recommendation letters are not from such professors, we recommend you to contact the graduate school for clarification or more information.
Interviews
The interview process may be daunting for many of us. That is why the CSULA NSSLHA Chapter hosts mock interviews every Spring semester. Be on the look out on the events page!
Also, visit the Career Center to enhance your interview skills by setting an appointment with a career advisor.
