Alan Acevedo
Undergraduate Community Service Rep
Hello everyone! My name is Alan Acevedo. I’m a senior at CSULA majoring in Communicative Disorders. I’ve been an active member the last 2 semesters and it’s an honor to be a community service rep. I think extracurricular opportunities like NSSLHA are the best ways to learn more about the field and connect with other students and professors in the department. Some things I like to do in my free time are playing/watching soccer, collecting CDs, and going to Disneyland. My goals in this field are to increase bilingual representation and connect with speech therapists in other countries to collaborate and learn from one another. I’m the undergraduate rep for the Hispanic Caucus for ASHA. If you have any questions or want to share your experiences as an undergrad and navigating COMD/academia please feel free to reach out: AACEVE84@calstatela.edu.
